Pinup Photoshoot with Yaya

A couple of weeks ago I did a photoshoot with Yaya, who is a very amazing model, not just because she was stunning, thats completely obvious but also because she knew exactly what to do, how to pose, what her best angles were, in other words, a photographers dream. All I had to do was sit back and let the pictures take themselves. Haha, no it wasnt that easy but time flew by. The main concept being a pinup style photoshoot, just like back in the days. Somewhat provocative with a touch of class. I really wanted to do this style as I saw a couple of photos featured at the Queensland College of Art which were pinup and completely fell in love with the concept. Thus, I had to try and mimic this, not because I am a copycat, but because I wanted to see if I am capable of achieving such a successful result.

Being in a controlled environment like a studio I was able to move the lights around Yaya easily. In most of the images I used a 3 light setup, 2 Broncolor Minicom 80's with parabolic reflectors aimed to light the background and another Broncolor Minicom 80 with an Octabank to light Yaya. From the initial shot to the last, I was very happy from the result. Below is a sample of my work on this shoot, and yes, they are watermarked HEAVILY, but this is because I aimed it to look quite commercial, and Yaya loved the professional look it added, especially for her facebook profile.
